My opinion is that if a journalist is going to put a slant on news, then they better damn well be qualified to do it or they aren't practicing responsible journalism. But then again, who the hell is being responsible nowadays?

With standards like that, financial journalism would end, including all the CNBCs of the world. Seriously, can you imagine how the media would change if writers/talking heads had to 1) validate their sources 2) expose the slant of their source, and 3) put each piece of news in its historical perspective?
