GV, While I'm not a traditional value investor, David Dreman is. I'm sorry to tell you this, Mary, but Dreman purchased 1,904,000 shares of Intel last quarter, raising his stake from a relatively nonexistent 19,000 shares to 1,923,000 shares.

Who is Dreman?

GVTucker. Re: "While I'm not a traditional value investor, David Dreman is." Some other "value" investors are buying Intel too. Among Louis Rukeyser's 22 panelists who have to pick a list of stocks on Jan 1 and can't change them for a whole year, five picked Intel.

Among a sample of about 475 NAIC investment clubs, Intel was the most popular buy in January: 51 buys; no sells. BTW, Intel became the most owned stock among all NAIC investment clubs in 2000. Almost 14,000 clubs owned 7.2 million shares. Intel ranked #4 by value.
