RE: spin it as you wish. Try to keep in mind what the average consumer knows.

Spin or not, integrated graphics is cheaper, and Intel is getting very aggressive on pricing their new 'low end' processors. If that combines for only a $100 system price difference, I can live with it. The average consumer can buy intel all he wants, as long as you define average as 83% of the total processor market and rapidly decreasing. <g>

In all seriousness, this situation tells us (at least) 2 things:

1. Integrated graphics would sure be nice. Although do we really want an Athlon relegated to integrated graphics? I thought that was what Duron was for?

2. Gateway decided to move their "performance" PIII's by crippling their performance for bargain basement prices. Does this mean they aren't selling due to P-NEXT ENVY, or is it that they have a whole bunch of them to sell? Or maybe just the overall environment...

EDIT: 3. Why Gateway isn't selling Duron (yet): Integrated Graphics. That should change soon.
