I don't know about you but I don't put a lot of credence in physics Ph.D.'s who think they know everything about everything. I am familar with type. They are usually too arrogant to realize that their brilliance is limited, which is just another form of ignorance.

I don't see this guy as claiming to know "everything about everything". And I don't know whether he is arrogant or not. I think it is a mistake to dismiss his opinions because you know his "type".

He apparently has very impressive credentials, is obviously intelligent and well educated. He pretty clearly knows a heck of a lot more about nuclear weaponry issues than me or you. It would be pretty arrogant of me to think I knew more about the subjects he has spent decades working on than he does.

Furthermore, his opinions seem to be supported by other knowledgeable persons.

I have no idea whether missile defense can never work or not. But I'm inclined to believe opinions on the current state of science from knowledgeable persons.
