Thanks for your response, Brian. I am doing some validating for the model on my own, ie. I'm trying to assess how much stock to buy based on it's predictions. If it is even roughly accurate, I would put everything in reach into the stock and just forget about it for five years.

However, it can't be that easy. One thing that I feel uncertain about are the kind of unreferenced data that research houses put out such as this from yesterday's WRS Press Release:

"The worldwide home networking equipment and residential gateway market is expected to grow from around $600 million in 2000 to over $8.8 billion by 2003 according to recent research by Cahners In-Stat Group."

I'd feel better about the prediction if I could read the report or at least understand how they came to these figures. As it is, I am left with no ability to critique the data or verify it. Is there any way to get copies of these reports?

Also, can you or someone knowledgeable please explain the difference between server appliances and network processors. I am unclear about what these are.

Thanks again for your efforts.

PS. The graphic on the spreadsheet is well done and interesting but it takes up about 1/3 of my screen. Could you make it possible to hide it so I can read the full spreadsheets better?
