DJ BioSource Intl Estimate -2: Sees 4Q Chg Of $1.6M-$1.8M

CAMARILLO, Calif. (Dow Jones)--BioSource International Inc. (BIOI)
expects to take a fourth quarter charge of $1.6 million to $1.8
million in severance costs for European personnel and other merger and
acquisition fees, as well as a $300,000 charge noncash stock
compensation charge.
In a press release Monday, the life sciences company said it expects
year sales of $32.3 million, compared with $29.3 million in 1999.
Operating profit for 2000 is expected to be $4.2 million, compared
with $4.6 million a year ago.
In 1999, BioSource earned $3.6 million, or 46 cents a diluted share.

For 2001, BioSource said it expects sales of $38.1 million and
operating profit of $5.5 million.
The company expects 2001 sales growth of 18% excluding acquisitions,
compared with 10.4% in 2000.
BioSource will release 2000 results the week of Feb. 26.
