Binx, Re: Sales to Telecom market were down 30% in the 3rd quarter(?). Where did you get that from? Did the conference call give any guidance on this segment of the market for the 4th quarter? Not that I am aware I suspect your problem OEMs are located at Cisco and Lucent and maybe Nortel. Did SNDK ever have an exclusive with a telecom company. If so for what card product for what telecom product? I find Eli's comments are often out-of-line with the controlling legal authorities (10K's and 10Q's) especially in regards to the competition. Which comments? The biggest outrage was that interview Eli gave a couple weeks before the conference call where he misled listeners to think that analysts do not understand his market. He was referring to the expected price reduction as higher capacity flash is ramped up. This had nothing to do with the OEM product. Also his statement of flash shortage was referring to the second half of 2001. How did the ML analyst get the scoop? Excellent question! SD Card is hype as far as I am concerned. Not so much hype, I think SNDK really thought it would fly. I don't think it ever will. Nobody wants it. I sure don't Set Top Boxes with SNDK products are HYPE! YEP! Sorry it took me a while to answer. Anyway, I think the OEM shortage has more to do with MP3 makers canceling. That is just my gut feeling. I don't think it was the camera market. And I don't know of any telecom product that actually shipped with a MMC card. Not saying there isn't. I just don't know of any. Do you? Nobody has come up with an expaination yet to epain the magnitude of the HUGE OEM shortage. It remains a mystery. I think Eli is a straight shooter. Doesn't impress me as the fraudulent type. Just doesn't fit. Did anyone else notice that besides his constant coughing during the CC, he seemed rather down? He coughed a lot during past CC's. Maybe we should send him some cough drops.
