Hi Nadine - re: Integrity
Don't mistake my position on integrity with believing that I think they have to be completely virtuous. Nobody is, and nobody can be. On the other hand I can list at least five things that Clinton did that are so far past the threshold (imo) that it is absurd. The latest was pardoning Marc Rich.

The question is more to how much integrity is necessary to qualify you to be the most powerful man on earth. Many on this thread were incredulous that GWB had a misdemeanor (sp) dui over two decades ago with a b.a.c. of .1%. Maybe they were all kidding, but they seemed serious. From what I know of our former president and the current one I would rate them (integrity wise) as follows:

GWB = 9 out of 10
Clinton = 0

I am sure I will get flack for that assesment, but he has done some things so vile while in office that he did not DESERVE to be our president. Circumventing normal approvals to sell missile technology to the Chinese for his largest contributor is the worst example for me (in case you are curious). That case to me looked like he would go so far as compromise our national security for a friend that helped get him elected. That used to be a serious crime. I guess it is not to most Americans, and that is troubling to me.
Scott
ps - If GWB does the same I will be outraged, but I do not expect it.

My goodness, we agree again! <<Clinton's problem, imo, was that he was so slick that even his friends didn't trust him >>
