These countries would not have developed to the extent that they have if they had been fenced out of major markets by people concerned about their labor conditions.

I agree. It's hard to feel like you're rewarding bad behavior but more income and more interaction with the rest of the world will do more good than harm. This is not the same as boycotting fur coats.

We our losing our manufacturing jobs at a rate that alarms me. I do not see what we are going to do with all the people who for one reason or another do not seek college degrees. They cannot ALL be in the service economy- it seems to me we should be able to produce something other than Big Macs.
