Sure, we don't have access to the numbers they do, but even a pilot without radar can see the missile when it's 50 feet away. And despite their extra data inputs, there are no proofs or theorems in economics for them to plug those in. Those "great minds" the Fed has working for it are all fallible individuals just like us. Exact #'s aside, logic and anecdotal evidence, and even gut feel for some I am sure, seem to indicate that the debt level has grown beyond the ability of commerce to support it, way beyond. Could be faulty logic, and of course the bad debt can just be written off, right? -g-
