David: re -- COMS Valuation/Strategy

Hi David,

What is your opinion on the status of 3Com? Obviously the value is within the company (catalyst of a potential spinoff in the future; substantial cash flow and excellent balance sheet; layoffs and expense reductions will lead to profitability on a timelier basis; and the company appears to be focused upon achieving profitability while maintaining a growth emphasis).

Are you using options in your position? Waiting for short-term gains? I'm always eager to hear your approach to holding an equity position! Thanks. ad
