You are real good at finding information that is: 1. Irrelevant: Zicam is not sold as a dietary supplement. In fact, DSHEA prohibits nasal products from being sold as dietary supplements. 2. Old: The cases that you posted are very old and have already been settled. 3. Not applicable: The actions of Quigley have no bearing on Gum Tech. Quigley did not conduct any clinical tests to demonstrate that Cold Eeze prevents people from getting colds. They didn't provide any evidence that using Cold Eeze reduces the risk of contracting pneumonia. They didn't conduct any clinical studies to demonstrate that using Cold Eeze relieves or reduces the symptoms of hay fever and allergies. They didn't conduct any clinical studies to demonstrate that using Cold Eeze reduces the severity of cold symptoms in children or prevents children from catching colds. The FTC was entirely correct in stopping Quigley from making these claims in their advertising because they hadn't been proven. On the other hand, the FTC found that Quigley could continue to claim that Cold Eeze reduces the duration and severity of cold symptoms in adults. This is the only claim that Gum Tech makes with regard to Zicam Cold Remedy, and they have ample clinical data to back it up. The claims that they make for Zicam Allergy Relief are also substantiated with clinical data. In fact, the ingredients in Zicam Allergy relief have been the subject of clinical studies dating back over 30 years. Yeah I know you immature frontrunning bozo.
