Agree Bull. He's on the mark.

It's interesting that those who can't read changes in the economy or the market are the ones acting a bit like chicken little, IMHO.

Makets go up and sometimes they go down. Big deal! It's normal. It's been going on for as long as markets have existed. It just seem that some folks are so attached to bull market conditions that they respond as if they are personally threatened when the climate in the stock market and the economy changes indicating that even a substantial correction may occur.

The investors who seem to having the most problems are the ones with only a few years experience who've NEVER been through a bear market OR even an average recession since they've been "active investors".

It's a right of passage that can be very expensive for some. Could tell some client stories from the 70s and 80s about clients of our firm (when I was a broker) that would sound like they came right off this thread.

One of the remarkable things about human nature is how consistent the behavior - motivated by excessive fear and greed - can be.

Watching the antics of some of those clients was like taking birth control pills for life against extremes of fear and greed, LOL.

Made a lot of money as a broker. But if I'd worked for free it would have been well worth the efforts just from what I learned from seeing how and why investors crash and burn.
