Sometimes the company knows the reason behind sizable sales, and sometimes they'll help pass leads on people wanting stock to the specialist ... about three years ago i was talking to the president of one little speckie about other things, then asked about recent blocks and he couldn't say who it was of course but he did say it wasn't an insider and outlined the person's situation which determined the sale, and that checked out later ... that one wasn't a liquidation for a divorce settlement but such things have been known to happen, the president of dy.to had to sell a whack of stock last year for that.

If the blocks just happen to coincide within a few days or weeks of an options release, there is the possibility that the seller of the blocks is passing stock to an ally and then refilling his position with the options.

Pfg.v - now pfg.to - there's one that i recall that arranged sales/purchases for large holders ... a lot of outfits will have a list, same list as for the PP prospects.
