aldrums Is there anything comparable to MSConfig in Win2K On a websearch, I couldn't find anything within W2000 that is similar but several sites found that they could copy msconfig.exe into system32 and it worked. This little W2K utility was mentioned most often as the solution. mlin.net tc

Windows 2000 Services tweak guide 3dspotlight.com let me know if it's what you had in mind. "Is there any literature that explains how the Windows power management and how BIOS power management interrelate? It is confusing as hell to me, I wish I could just adjust the settings in one place, either the BIOS or the operating system." i do not know, but i have posted more than a few win2000pro forum addresses on this thread, and i'm betting you could get detailed responses there. good luck :) mark
