Thanks, I knew that in theory the cell expression license agreements included the ability to reproduce virus, but was not convinced it would be licensed for this purpose. The fact that XOMA itself will use its technology for this purpose makes it clear to me that the cell expresion technology can be and probably will be used for more than just production of proteins. Unfortunately even thoug over 20 licenses haqve been issued there is no way to know if the technology is being used nor do I have any idea on how XOMA itself can monitor the use of terchnology.
