smchan, you really have to understand the strategic import of the Cisco acquisition of IBM's switching technology. What they were in effect doing was zipping up the entire market for the conversion of IBM style SNA networks to TCP/IP networks. Cisco is pretty big in providing companies with IBM SNA networks the migration path to open TCP/IP networks. After this acquisition, IBM then announced they were dropping out of the networking biz. It was a brilliant move on Cisco's part, which has provided them with a windfall of incremental sales.
