I don't want "high paying" unless you call a decent wage that enables you to own a house "high paying".

Whether we like it or not, we live in a global economy, and by global standards, a job that pays well enough to put the worker in the American home-owning middle class is well up there on the pay scale.

Take, again, the example of those 800 Filipinos answering e-mail for AOL. AOL probably pays them something on the order of $300 a month, a pretty good wage around here. Is there any logical reason why AOL should hire Americans to do the same job, and pay them enough for them to be able to own a home? What should - or could - the US Government do to force AOL to keep those jobs in the US?
