SECT - GTExpos Inks Deal With Knight-Ridder/Contra Costa Newspapers

IRVINE, Calif., Jan 30, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Global Tech Expos, a subsidiary
of Sector Communications Inc. (OTCBB:SECT) announced finalization of a media
partnership with Knight-Ridder's Contra Costa Newspapers, which makes the
Silicon Valley publications and parent corporation joint-venture partners in
Global Tech's IT and other area recruitment events.

Negotiations for the joint-venture stalled the company's earlier plans for a
recruitment event in January, but all parties agreed the events would be
stronger and better-attended when promoted through the full-page advertisements
and other media activities of the Contra Costa Newspapers.

Under the agreement, the Contra Costa Newspapers will provide full-page
advertisements of the IT high-tech and other recruitment events for several
weeks before each show; the venture partner will also provide display
advertising at special rates for exhibitors wishing to call attention to their
participation in the events and will include a series of "hotlinks" on its Web
sites.

Knight-Ridder will maintain a right of first refusal for future agreements under
the same terms with Global Tech Expos. Global Tech Expos' next event is
scheduled for March 20-21 at the San Jose Arena. Global Tech Expos also
announced that Philips signed on as a sponsor of its groundbreaking event and
confirmed participation of Agilent, Boeing, Cirrus Logic, Compaq, IBM,
Mitsubishi, NEC Electronics, Ross Stores and others for its March exposition.

Director Jeremy Schuster said, "The majority of our clients face a continuing
need for the IT talent we can deliver through a well-promoted event; the
continued participation of our marquee clients allows us to further develop
opportunities to include smaller businesses and peripheral industries in our
events on varying levels."

Global Tech's John Anderson said the March event is open to companies in need of
IT talent and businesses that "serve the unique lifestyles and needs of
techies."

The company's unique sponsorship programs include a "speaker's corner,"
corporate logo and scoreboard displays and other advertising promotions to boost
exhibitor visibility.

Global Tech Expos' recruitment events will employ high-speed videoconferencing
technology made available through its venture partner, Talk Visual Corp.
(OTCBB:TVCP), to enable companies to interview candidates from around the world.
Global Tech forecasts more than 100 companies and thousands of prequalified
applicants attending either in-person or through international videocall
locations.

Candidates are presently able to upload their resumes for employer consideration
via its Web site at www.globaltechexpos.com; the Web site also includes
information for potential exhibitors, who can download specifications and the
exhibitor contract online.

Talk Visual Corp., a Miami-based telecommunications firm, recently signed an
exclusive agreement with Global Tech Expos to provide videocall locations from
its multimillion-dollar global network, supply its TV225 Videophones, and
perform a host of related telecom services including ISDN line setup,
long-distance, local exchange carrier services, telecom management and desktop
videoconferencing.
