But, there is enough proof after the fact to determine who can lay a better claim....
I agree that at the moment of the decision (and I did say I felt he went overboard with the last hike), there are always more than one opinion.

However, very few (very, very few) people feel AG has been misguided over the last 14 years in his decision making. In fact, most would say that he's had his finger right on the pulse for the most part. Hell, he called the bubble before it was really a bubble.

Still, he has managed the bubble nicely...and now time will tell if his post-bubble exploits live up to his previous 14 years of expertise.

While it's likely that he could stumble at some point (we all do), I think his past performance - while not a guarantee of future performance - says alot about how well he is likely to handle things.

I'll take the tit-for-tat and raise the ante with 14 years of (virtually) constant growth and low inflation.
