Hi Caxton,

I can't speak for Puck on this but I am not sure that you and I are watching the same company. I am watching the Nokia that posted strong 2Q'00 earnings but then said that 3Q'00 would be relatively flat followed by very strong 4Q'00 earnings. The stock got killed back then. Around comes 3Q'00 and (correct me if my memory fails me) but Nokia beat by a penny and they reiterated the strong 4Q'00. Now here is the 4Q'00 and Nokia has released very strong numbers. The stock was taken down because of the guidance, not the numbers and the guidance wasn't even that bad.

Your post came across to me as if you were trying to slander Nokia management. I am not one to usually rush to a management's defense but to try it with this company is sheer folly. The have been consistently cautious and conservative in their predictions especially when it comes to EPS which is where it all counts.

If you want to debate the merits of GPRS vs some other option, that's great. But Nokia management deserves better.

IMHO,
Terrapin

Seriously Puck, Nokia first says things are great for phone sales when the stock is tanking, now they say things are not so great. They say GPRS is great and will be launched, now they say it's not. Sounds like management has a problem to me. I don't invest in companies who do this type of thing. Sounds like they are pulling a Motorola.
Qualcomm always does what it says, btw.
