FL,

<< Can anyone propose a situation where Tero's statement holds water or was he perhaps simply scrambling for any answer at all to avoid acknowledging the elephant standing in the room? >>

My take is he was being polite in commenting on a contract IP development house that made exagerated statements to hype their next "solution".

Certainly not a world class response, but then again, who would want to drill down on Parthus?

... but perhaps, since he has anchored this thread since its inception, he can explain himself, if he sees fit, upon his return.

I think I am probably the last person Tero would want to speak for him. I am after all a gorilla "cultist" <g>, with a penchant for CDMA ... and the last thing I am going to admit to him is that GPRS exists because QUALCOMM simply did not know how to play the standards game.
