Hi Mike,

I listened a lot, I learned a lot, I was never bored.

All the best in your new adventure. DS

Mike,

More than anyone I know, you've elevated the discourse about investing on the net, not just by dispensing common sense and a healthy dose of skepticism, but by leavening it with humor.

You got me to consider CEF's and biotechs more seriously (don't think I ever invested in a stock without earnings pre-Burke) and for that I am grateful.

You're a born educator, and I think your clients will be lucky, not only because they'll make money, but they might actually have a shot at understanding why they're making money if they happen to care (or listen).

Go get 'em!

Michael:

Been on the road for a bit, and just catching up with the news. It's raining up here, wet, cold rain, mixed with slushy snow, which parallels my feelings.

While there are some who think that strong friendships cannot be created through the net, I think they are wrong. And I would cite you as an example to prove my case. I suspect that I am just one of many, many folks who consider themselves fortunate to have found your "den" and to have enjoyed your counsel, your views and your sage commentary,.... to have you as a distant but valued "pal" as we match wits with Mr. Market. It isn't easy to retain one's roots as well as one's humanity in the investment world, yet you have done just this in spades. Many are the days when stopping by your thread has brought things back into perspective after a nerve-racking or stressful day.

Along with many others, I will want to know where you park the cowboy boots, once the "training" is completed.

Good luck Mike and again my heartfelt thanks for all your help and kindness. You will be truly missed by many of us.

Best, Earlie

Hey, if you ever decide to write a book, I'll buy a copy. <g> And you could always get a cute ghostwriter to do the heavy lifting...
