If I buy goods made by Americans I know I am 1.supporting Americans and the American government through taxes on business and the workers 2. supporting things like OSHA which protect Americans (this is an offshoot of supporting the government) and 3.supporting an environmental regulation scheme that I think should be even stronger than it is now (again and offshoot of supporting the government through the taxes accruing on dollars earned by business and labor). I like that. It is my preference.
