I experienced with the Great Loma Prieta quake in 1989

I was 11 when the Tangshan earthquake happened. The city I lived in, which is about 150 miles away from epicenter, got over 20k people killed, all the second floors at the place I lived collapsed. Tangshan itself had almost 300k people killed. We lived on the street well into the winter after the quake. Official word from Chinese government is 7.8, but some said it's 8.5.

Those days sure look like hell.
