lorne, <<50$ mil. promoting gold>> I remember that post and believe it significant. Promotion is important with tulips. I am aware of gold use potential to improve heat exchanger efficiency, gold for catalysts and other minor applications in electronics, but nothing that dramatically increases demand. Anything that increases demand, especially demand that can't be recycled is desirable. Gold has unique physical and chemical characteristics that must have significant value, someone just needs to find it. People have to get off the theory that gold is money before anything serious will happen in application research. I sense that change coming.
