VRTS: Positive Earnings Guidance just released. Stock should start moving as word leaks out. Veritas CEO Bloom Sees `Upside Opportunity': Company Comment Santa Barbara, California, Jan. 30 (Bloomberg) -- Veritas Software Corp. Chief Executive Gary Bloom spoke today to analysts and investors at Merrill Lynch & Co.'s Storage Technology Conference, which runs through tomorrow at the Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara, California. Veritas develops software that manages and protects computer information on network storage systems. On the effect of a slowing economy: ``We have insulation. We have not seen a slowdown. If there is a complete meltdown in IT (information technology) spending, then we would not be insulated.'' ``There is an explosion of data volume.'' Financial outlook for the Mountain View, California-based company: ``We are seeing phenomenal strength in the way the financials look for the company.'' ``We are not changing our guidance, but there is an opportunity to gain efficiency.
