I agree about selling puts....very much like collecting a premium in order to pick up stock cheap.

However, you ask why not wait til we are at 65 or 70.....I may just do that....you also mention selling calls is best in a sideways market....well, until we bust thru and hold 3000, we are in a sideways market and will trade within a range. We could also sell off after we get next rate cut, which would enable me to buy calls back cheaply........

anyway, it's a tough market to figure......I am bullish long term, but short term it's anybodies guess.....and when it's anybodies guess, is the time to write cc's....can always roll up and out if need be, but until we break resistance I have no reason to think we are going to take off like a rocket....yes, merger is bullish...rate cuts are bullish...but .50 is already figured. 75% we sell on news.......if we do, I will buy some more stock long or some leaps....but as for the stock I hold, I see no reason not to cover, but will wait and get my price or won't and will let er ride
