I don't really understand that reply. Your comment seems to have no relevance to what you quoted. I said (and you quoted "Republicans are hardly the only ones seeking to impose their ideas on others". Meaning of course that the Democrats do as well. You reply "As long as you are white, straight and Protestant. Especially if you don't trust them furigners." Perhaps you thought that I said Republicans do not seek to impose their ideas on others. Then at least you statement would make some sense. I would still disagree with it as many Republicans (and many Democrats) would still seek to impose their ideas on you even if you are white, straight and Protestant. For example I'm sure there are some white, straight protestants that have gotten in trouble for using illegal drugs or for prostitution, or illegal gambling or any of a number of things that many republicans want to keep illegal (and probably the majority of democrats as well).
