*** Sun Micro says server on track, won't debut at meeting i also picked up a bunch today...i m also only trading cubes, but picked up more sunw and csco anyway.... should be doing good by feb. 5-6 meeting. ======== SUN MICROSYSTEMS (SUNW) is on track with its new midrange servers but will not debut them at an analyst conference next week, the company said on Tuesday after an analyst said there were hopes for a launch. Sun shares have been under pressure after Merrill Lynch issued a research note on Tuesday saying that some had expected the debut at the February 5-7 meeting and that a failure to launch then could be perceived as a near-term negative. Spokeswoman Elizabeth McNichols said Sun was on track with the mid-range servers, based on Sun's UltraSPARC III microprocessor. (Reuters)
