Hank, oil went up about a year ago due to the recovery worldwide to the mid 20 th, a lot of speculators moved in and trading started to be erratic with light upward bias. From sources I deem reliable there were indications that there is enough crude but there is a game to be played - refined products.

A secretive word spread that some old friends were telling overseaes refiners to hold of refining and if electect they will be rewarded. It was explained that the republican administration if in power will go soft on enviromental laws and the only solution to ever stringent refinary regulation is ot get rid of the pro-enviroment democratic party.

Inflation will insue stock market will swoon the new boys will move in.......... simple

The oil industry after a few meager years just got excited about prospects of higher refined products and the posibility of lifting of restrictions, so big oil supported the most cooperative of all republican candidates and it was no choice of chance that two oil men came to power as a team. That is why McCain who is a very honest man got kicked out in February as he did not play that game ........ after all he is no oil man.

The Clinton administration run circles to increase supply of crude but they were unable to understand how come heating oil is not comming forward. The world has overcapacity in low octan products. Traders started to play the distilate crude spread pushing prices hihger and refiners playing it ever closer to the red line. That's all.

Any one got scared of a cold winter ----- so we got one and after Nov oil started falling substantially as was heating oil as the game was up. Now they are stabilizing it.

Also note there is no demands from Bush Administration to OPEC to keep prices low to assist the US to recover ...... he must pay his promise.

It may sound sarcastric but just compare the public statements of the two administration very very different. as many books will be written about the Clinton's ........ more will be writen about the present administration.

.......... remember that until now we do not know who really was behind the assasination of JFK? well they were not Russians or Cubans but American and wealthy ones.

rest my case.

Haim
