Hi Frank! Glad to see you back on SI. Maybe this is a sign that the market is about to enter it's recovery period. I know my account could use some recovery.

Cheers!

Hi Frank,

Good to cybersee you and hope that all is well. Trading with only an online brokerage and no rt quotes is a challenge, but you're the master of tape reading so now perhaps you'll master charts as well.

As an inexpensive (free as adware) app you might want to check out Medved's QuoteTracker at medved.net Uses many free quote sources including Datek's free streaming quotes or for a nominal fee you can purchase realtime quotes from a data vendor like ProphetFinance (~$38/mo) or PC Quote(~$13/mo) including exchange fees. Also gives access to the Island and Arch quote book for free (poor man's L2), and if you trade with Datek it has order entry screens for click and trade. I use it as a supplement to eSignal so I can monitor a large watchlist plus sectors (like the components of the SOX or XAU). There's a thread on SI and great support. End of pitch.

Ah yes, <$10 stocks. A lot have been doing their thing of late, PSIX, RDRT (now >10) and others have served up some good points. Anymore I'm tending to stay with those that have plenty of volume and mostly swing trade, tho I'll take intraday profits as needed. Tomorrow I'm probably cooling it until the afternoon and the Fed's words of blessing or damnation. Might get interesting just before then, so we'll see.

HLIT is just under $10 - I got back in today at 9.125 (gave up on getting 9.0625) and out @ 10 in the after hours market. INAP is another good trader. AAI is just leaving the <10 area, but may have a pull back, should be a good swing trade. Take a look at PACW.

Hope you're back for a while, you've been missed.

Peace and Justice --- Patrick

Hi Frank, good to see you back. Online brokerages are not so bad as they have small fee per trade and It turns out that provided your order is small enough to trigger the automatic execution routine from the market maker you got very good and fast execution (if you order is bigger you got an immediate partial fill and the MM can then play with the remaining of your order). Rashid nearly convinced me to switch to the executioner but so far I keep trading with an online brokerage.

It looks like this trade 24 Hours active today...
