Yes, MethodicalMethod, that looks correct.

macdDif = fastLine - signalLine; {is that correct?}

Yes, and you can see how the above works when you plot it. Notice that the MACD histogram (macdDif) crosses 0 when the two lines, fastLine and signalLine, cross each other (when the difference between them is 0). MacdDif is usually called the MACD histogram, btw. The histogram is really just an easy way of viewing the relationship between the fastLine and signalLine. Some use the 0 crossovers for entry and exit signals.

I see you've applied the ratio of the whirling squares to your formula (with your Fib periods). Good for you! You won't get into trouble in the market with those periods, because they're in harmony with the universe. Have you perchance worked on pyramids in Egypt? It shows! It really does.
