if you look at a monthly chart of GE it looks a bit scary ... selling a Jan03 $30 naked call at $20 + per contract might be interesting .... i like the risk/reward

Don't look to GE to unlock any hidden value in Hon- they're buying an albatross in Honeywell.

Sure Jack Welch wants a trophy before he retires, but why did the board let him go nuts and buy an antique like Hon at that price?? The GE board must be a bunch of pussies who are afraid of Welch. (they can't be so stupid as to think acq Hon at this inflated price is a good idea.... )

United Tech backed off from their offer for Hon because they knew GE bid far too much. Of course, if you look at the CEO of UT, you see he is not an egotistical SOB like Welch, who will soon sail off away from accountability for buying such a huge dog....

The CEO of UT cares more about his co and his shareholders than stoking his own ego. Too bad I cannot say the same for Welch.
