"On a track ill take the MODENA over a 996."

Take twice the money with you while you're at it. Why not just take an F50? :-)

"I am talking about the cheap plastic interior, and the quality of the build is not as good. I also think the 993 was a prettier car."

My 993 was a 98 and was therefore the last (and best) 993 made. The build quality was not any better than my 01 996, and the 993 interior was many times sparcer and cheaper looking (was it even changed in the 10+ years prior to 1998?) than my 996. Don't even get me started on the crapo convertible top mechanism (boot required, windows don't auto drop and rise an inch, etc) on my 993 which has been wholly corrected in the 996 (technology in place by BMW since 1994!). The differences (upgrades) in the 996 from the 993 take up almost a 100 page Porsche produced book I have. They aren't even close to being the same car. The 993 is "prettier"? Ok fine, that's subjective, but boy did my 993 look dated next to it's daddy the 996 in my "subjective" opinion.
