Elmer, RIM pagers are based on an Intel 386EX processor and run on a single AA battery. Don't ask about performance. How much performance do you need in a pager? Actually, I just looked at RIM pagers for business use last week, and they do look like useful devices, but my problem with these is what Mary mentioned earlier - I don't think it is a great idea to carry a bunch of electronic gizmos around. I learned to deal with the cell phone, which has an advantage that I no longer need to wear a watch, but I don't want to go to 2 devices. I would rather see some more functionality move to cell phones. Joe
