I think this is relatively minor. It's a start. You know the game. Build expectations see if you can build-up a miss if you're short. Vs. Lower expectations and see if you can exceed if you're long.

It's still the same trading vehicle for you. You can do very well, just don't get caught short in a squeeze or long before a fall.

For those of us with longer term perspective, it adds credibility. I don't think WCOM would put their name out on something that will wind up soon as a floating turd, POS, or whatever your buddy (ex-buddy??) BottomShorter would call it. Given the market, it would have been easier for WCOM to pull a VZ (vis a vis NPNT), if they wanted less rather than more.

The shorts are still in there heavily. Lots of estimates from 5-8 million if you read (and stomach) Yahoo. float only around 10 million.

Easier route, IMO, is long. I wouldn't want to stand in line to cover.

But I know you make money and do well going both ways and that's always fun LOL.. (I bet you're good both ways.)

Good luck and good trading. BTW - what's your target on COVD. I loaded up in December and sold a bit but it's looking real as perhaps the only DSL survivor. Did you sell PEET -- looking a little toppy but you can still hope that it can go the way of the "luxury short" KREM. LOL.
