You forget that the Republican Party (the modern one) was born in a Ripon Wisconsin schoolhouse. Another Democratic myth vanquished. Most Republicans are moderates. News covers those that are the most vocal and extreme (on both sides). Pete, Forget....hardly.....I had it pounded into my head by an 8th grade teacher. However, the second part of that is that the Ripons were so liberal, that many of the latter generations ended up changing parties as Republicans became more conservative. What can you expect with all those Scandanavians. Yah, sure! ted
