When all else fails, use a boot disk, everyone should have a boot disk:

bootdisk.com
(Don't worry about CDROM support)

You must have a spare floopy kicking around, from an old program you don't use anymore, just format it, copy system files and use that for your bootdisk. It's easy to make one.

make sure you have the format command on that disk, you can copy it to the boot disk, its in this folder:

Windows/Command/format

Also, when you go to format that drive, make sure it's the right drive.
