by real inflation you mean general price inflation?

I agree ... it will be a short-lived spike, but enough to show up in their fudged numbers and cause a panic, IMO

we'll see ... I like gold anyway, just based on prospects for the late great reserve currency ...

That's why they rushed another $ 8 B appropriation to the BLS to further "study" the CPI. Another .4 lopped off the CPI will raise the surplus by $ 2-3 trillion.
