well, the Chicago PMI today was the worst since '82. no reason to suspect NAPM will be any better.

i doubt the 75 on the grounds that he won't want to shoot his wad too quickly...after all the natural barrier (zero) must not be reached, otherwise we're in a Japan style slump with little chance for a recovery.

but then you never know with these fools...

As an aside, I think CLS reports tonight or tomorrow. The guidance is likely to be tatty. I am looking forward to their commentary on the state of the contract business. I have my gas mask at hand. (g)
