>CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Jan 31 (Reuters) - Internet research firm Forrester Research Inc. (NASDAQ:FORR) on Wednesday said net income rose 58 percent, as the company continued to expand, and reiterated results forecasts for 2001.

Net income rose to $7.3 million, or 30 cents per share, compared with pro forma net income of $4.6 million, or 18 cents per share, in the same period last year.

Analysts had on average expected the company to report earnings of 26 cents per share, according to Wall Street research firm First Call/Thomson Financial.

Revenues grew 73 percent to $47.9 million from $27.7 million in the fourth quarter of 1999.

Looking ahead to 2001, the company said it sees total revenue growth of approximately 50 percent over 2000. Earnings per share are expected to grow about 25 percent to 30 percent over 2000, the company said. Analysts had expected the company to report earnings of $1.06 in 2001.
