I suspect that there will be some time to "sort" things out, but I also suspect the eventual outcome will be selling. That said, there may still be a possibility of some upward movement towards 3000, but I expect the weakness and selling to take over by Friday morning at the latest.

Watch CNBC do their best to make this into good news. They are focusing on the EFFECT...a rate cut of 1/2 point on the back of a very recent 1/2 point cut whch they'll promote as good for the market. They'll completely ignore the underlying CAUSE or root of the problem and that is the fact that the economy is slowing dramatically, jobs are being cut, earnings going down, etc, etc....This is NOT good for the economy or the market. The rate cut is a temporary fix but will not solve the problem.
