The markets are certainly doing some psychotic jittering around trying to figure which way to go--just an intensification of the volatility that has always in the past prefigured a crash. But of course this ain't the past.

Natural gas at $6 is probably almost low enough to guarantee that it will run out. With $5 billion in profits, Exxon could sure buy up a lot of gas production if it wanted to, and lots of other companies as we all know have lots of money, too.

I think I will stand pat on my hand, with its twenty-three aces (i.e. low cost gas producers).
