If you're talking about devotion to a religion, the Cisco bulls are every bit as devoted as their bearish brethren, perhaps more so.

You have to worry when the bears are smug and quiet; when they are adamant about impending doom, a rally is probably in the works. A few positives that don't get mentioned too often:

There is very little inflation...
There are retro-active tax cuts in the works...
Energy prices seem to have peaked...
Refinancing of mortgages is accelerating...
Stocks always rally after two rate cuts...
The FOMC seems ready willing and (most important) able to cut rates into the future...

If you have a perspective longer than a couple of weeks, I'm not sure the bears have a great case.

Tony, the CSCO bears are mostly newcomers. They missed the huge gains of the stock over the years. So whenever it goes down on its own problems or with the market, the bears seem to gloat in a perverse way.
