PGO calls

You really should get an options book first before you consider buying options.

That said the PGO Aug calls will be in the money at the strike price + the amount paid or 7.5 + 3.10 (in my case) =

10.6

Currently the option has both a time portion and an "in-the-money" portion since it's 1.50 in the money already. The time portion will decrease in value as we get closer to Aug.

If you are going to trade options I'd only consider in-the-money calls. The #1 mistake people make is getting too greedy. I expect PGO could be 15 by Aug, therefore I could make a killing if I bought the 10 or the 12.5's, but PGO might stay at 12.5 in aug making my calls worthless. If I buy the 7.5's I still make 50%.
