David,

I don't use Linear Regression but there are functions and indicators in TS for this, as well as a Lin Regression straight line plotter as well.

In my experience there's little you can't do with the programming language, but in recent years I've not exercised it as much as I used to. I do have some custom indicators and tools, but they have fairly simple logic behind them.

If you are really into this stuff you might try to borrow or buy Perry Kaufmann's 'Trading Systems and Methods' book, as there are lots of Tradestation specific code examples and its just not a bad book.

If indicators are your thing, Chuck Lebeau's book 'Computer Analysis of Futures Markets' (dont let the name deceive you, it is really just a good text on indicators and how to use them).

You might also look at Tradestation Pro as an alternative to purchasing TS 2000i. Its 300$ a month I think including data. They don't have futures data yet, but people I know that are using it seem fairly impressed with it.

Best regards
Michael
