I am not sure who "you guys", but I think the reason for the opposition to Ashcroft is solely based on his opposition to abortion. In my original post, I was pointing out the hypocrisy of having what amounts to a litmus test for Ashcroft. i.e. against any pro-lifer, and but objecting to Reagan's supposed litmus test against pro-choice. I do not think there should be a litmus test for either. Just pick the best person for the job. More germaine to your comment, what kind of a person is underneath all of those in Washington who lie and evade and spin. That is all of these folks. It is not dem or rep., it is not liberal or conservative, it is not pro-life or pro-choice. Every damn one of them is a liar and, even allowing for the fact that we all lie, very few of them have a level of integrity beyond that of a crook or thief. Little joe
