Very low volume today. 9,347,400 shares traded. Volumes been dropping the last couple of days. The last time volume was below 10 million shares was back on 8/22/2000 when only 7,917,100 shares traded.

Average volume these days is supposed to be 24,166,000 according to the box below.

Wonder what this means if anything at all.

"The paper quoted a company spokeswoman as saying Lucent is cooperating with the SEC, and that it notified the agency of its accounting problems on November 21, just before it publicly announced them."

It may be old news but it sure does have its affect non-the-less.

All we seem to get about this company is ... diarrhea .. diarrhea .. diarrhea.

LUCENT is the CLINTON of the financial world!

I hope enough people will BUY! ... BUY! ... BUY! and drive it back up to 19 or 20 again. We have a nice little cycle going these days. Bad news drives it down, time allows it to climb back in a month or two then bad news comes out of the woodwork and drives it back down again. If you think you know what you're doing you can make some money.

There's no lack of volume today. Already above the daily average. Will someone please start one of those takeover rumors again!
