He appears by his recent actions to want to go back to a time when the typical American family had 2.3 children, the mother stayed at home, there was no abortion, everyone went to church and worshipped the same God. I am not sure such a time ever existed but that's the kind of allusion that appears to exist for some Beliving abortion is wrong and should be outlawed (which BTW has not been a major theme for Bush) and beliving that the government should be less hostile to religous groups or that such groups can perform some functions more efficently then the governement can, doesn't strike me as being the same as wanting to change how many kids people have, or make everyone go to the same church. What makes you think he wants to do this or thinks that the situation you discribed actually existed and can and should happen again. The only part of your description that makes any sense in regards to Bush is the part about abortion, but Bush has not exactly been all fired up about that topic as either a candidate or as president. Tim
